Building Our Way to Net Zero

C Street was pleased to host Francesca Muskovic, National Policy Director at the Property Council of Australia at ECHO.1 on 14^th March 2025 at an industry breakfast themed “Building Our Way to Net Zero,” to discuss climate mitigation in the property sector amidst global shifts and an upcoming federal election.

The discussion acknowledged the complexities arising from the evolving ESG landscape in the US and the EU, noting that while changes in the US may cause some setbacks, the global momentum on climate action continues.

Locally, the upcoming election and the potential for a minority government could present both opportunities and challenges for climate policy, particularly regarding the phasing out of fossil gas in buildings, adoption of the 2025 National Construction Code and the potential for any future updates thereafter.
