One way we will achieve effective insulation is with continuous insulation using Durra Panel.

This is a versatile and sustainable wall and ceiling panel made entirely from compressed straw. It is sourced and manufactured locally in Bendigo and has excellent fire rating, structural, thermal and acoustic properties.

For every square meter of Durra Panel, 31kg of CO2 has been extracted from the atmosphere, and 8.5kg of carbon is locked away. The unique manufacturing process uses the natural lignin polymers in the straw as a binding agent without glues or chemical adhesives. It is also naturally fire-resistant, and provides a 1 hour fire rating in a fire rated panel to panel joint.
